Almost a year ago to the day I posted about a sewing basket I'd picked up at an antiques store. Showed you pics of the various things that I found in the basket, but held back some. Well, the wheels of God grind slowly, but slowly grind they all - and so here are the items I held back on . . .

Bed Spread Pattern - Enlarge and Zoom In |

Oh, so 50's! |

And more! |
I just had no idea when I found these in that tin,
what I was going to do with them. To me, vintage stuff is very dear, even if I have no use for it. So, I put them away. Now that I know I can actually
do embroidery (thanks to my work on The Chase sampler) I have to find them. Although I don't know that I'll do a
whole bed spread (gasp!) that pattern might look nice on pillowcases that are just for show or something. Hope you enjoyed!
What great designs! Love the bedspread one especially! Can't wait to see these worked up!
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteThey are fabulous! I love collecting vintage transfers, but I've never actually attempted one, perhaps I should dig one of mine out and we can have an embroider-along
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous! The embroidery is very easy. I used to do a lot of that when I was younger and even a little now that I'm older. I think that once you started on them, you will love it. I love the Ladies Home Journal piece. That would look great done and framed and put in a sewing room.
ReplyDeleteVery neat acquisitions!
ReplyDeleteOh, how cool!! I aspire to do embroidered pillowcases, and on Pinterest I've stored some instructions on making crocheted trim for the edges. It's a plan... as I continue to cross stitch samplers! ;)
